I’m Berkay, a software developer.
For psychologists, doctors, lawyers and anyone who wants to present their own work: calm, fast websites, made by one person from the text to the code.
Start a projectSomeone who visits your site should see at a glance who you are, what you do and how to reach you. That is how I work for psychologists, doctors, lawyers and independent professionals: every stitch, from the order of the text to the design and from the design to the code, passes through my hands.
Three swatches for now: the site you are on and two independent design studies. Each was woven in a weave of its own; the cloth on each card is that work’s weave.

Design study
In Turkish, atlas means satin: a smooth, glossy weave. A large word, three orbits and a yellow dot.
Design study
A study of layout and repetition in six geometric parts, set in blocks like a basket weave.
In cloth, the weave is how the threads pass over and under each other; in a website, it is how the content is arranged. We start from what you will use your site for and choose one of three structures.
Plain weave 1 / 1
The simplest weave. One page to introduce yourself and be easy to reach.
Twill 2 / 2
A diagonal, hard-wearing weave. Separate pages for your expertise and your areas of work.
Jacquard figured
The weave that makes patterns. For publishing your own writing alongside your practice.
The domain is registered in your name. Your quote shows the renewal terms for the domain, hosting, email and maintenance after the first year. A second language and extra features can be added to any package.
A loom reads its cards in order, and only then is the pattern woven. I start the same way: by learning what you do, who you speak to and what you want your site to say.
We talk about the site you have in mind. Then I prepare your quote: the work to be done, the fee and the schedule.
You fill in the information form when it suits you. From your answers and images, I write the text, design the pages and build the site.
We go over everything together one last time. After screen and link checks, I publish your site with your approval.
The pattern changes from job to job; these five never do. You can try every one of them on this page.
I start designing on the small screen, so menus, text and buttons are easy to use with a thumb.
Body text is 17 pixels, in lines short enough not to tire the eye. Like the lines you are reading now.
No needless code and no outside resources. Turn to the back of the cloth in the gauge at the bottom to see how fast this page opened.
Keyboard navigation, screen reader labels and a button to pause motion come with every site; on this one, the button is in the gauge at the bottom.
The domain is registered in your name, and at handover I give you every login.
The loom on this site is more than decoration. The first way of programming a machine was invented to give a loom its pattern.
1804
Joseph Marie Jacquard ran his loom in Lyon with punched cards. Where a card has a hole, a thread lifts; where it has none, the thread stays down. The pattern was no longer in the weaver’s hands but in the cards.
1839
Jacquard’s silk portrait was woven with about 24,000 cards; it was so fine that people took it for an engraving. Charles Babbage acquired a copy and showed it to guests at his home. He had designed his Analytical Engine to be programmed with the same kind of cards.

1843
“We may say most aptly, that the Analytical Engine weaves algebraical patterns just as the Jacquard-loom weaves flowers and leaves.”
Ada Lovelace, notes on the Analytical Engine, 1843.
Today
The loom at the top weaves the heading row by row, and a card decides each row. Every page in the menu is a card too: its holes spell the page’s name.
Each letter you type is punched into a card: its eight rows are the letter’s binary code. The loom reads the cards and weaves your name into a small cloth. Nothing is saved.
I take care of both the design and the software of your website.
I studied Management Information Systems and psychology, and I am now doing a master’s degree in computer science. I am also interested in machine learning.
In weaving, the warp is the cloth’s strong frame; the weft gives it color and pattern. In my work, software builds the frame, and psychology makes me think about what the person reading the page understands.
Eight questions you may have before we first talk. Open one and its knot comes undone.
Identity suits a short introduction; Professional suits giving each area of work its own page. If you also want to share your own writing, the Publishing package has a blog and an admin panel. You don’t need to choose a package in your first message.
You don’t need to write the text in advance. You fill in the information form I send in your own time; I turn your answers into website text and send it to you for approval. We choose the photos together, and I check how they look on both phones and computers.
Once we have talked through the pages and what you need, I send the fee, what is included and the schedule in writing. The delivery time runs from the start date we set together, once your information form and the files needed are complete.
The domain is registered in your name. If you already have one, we can use it. For the first year, the Identity package includes one email account on your domain, and the Professional and Publishing packages include two. I hand over the account logins at delivery, and share the renewal terms before we begin.
Yes. From the panel in the Publishing package you can add, edit and publish blog posts. I show you how the panel works and help you get your first post ready. After that, you can carry on without me.
Technical support and maintenance are included for the first year; your quote says which tasks this covers. New pages, a redesign and new features are quoted separately. You also know the renewal terms for the domain, hosting, email and maintenance from the start.
I build your site so search engines can read it. Accurate, original and up-to-date content that describes your work well can help you be found on Google, and help AI systems that search the web recognize you. Even so, there is no guarantee of any particular ranking or recommendation.
A second language, extra pages and custom integrations can be added to any package. Google Analytics is optional; if you want it, we plan its setup and the consent it needs together with your project.
First, I’d like to hear about your work and what you expect from your site. In your first message, a few sentences about your profession, your current site if you have one, and what you want from the new one are enough.
