First, I learn about your work.
Every kind of work needs its site to answer a different question. An architect’s site should show their projects; a trainer’s, their program and dates; a small business’s, what it offers and where it is. In our first conversation we decide together which question your site will answer.
I build the page layout, the text and the design around that answer, so visitors find what they want at first glance and reach you without effort.
What your site can include.
- About you: who you are, how you work and your experience.
- Services or products: a simple, clear description of what you offer.
- Examples of your work: photos, projects or galleries.
- Writing and news: a blog option for publishing your own content.
- Contact: your address, opening hours and how you prefer to be reached.
We finish the text together.
Once we agree on the quote, I send you an information form. You don’t need to write finished website text; I draft it from your answers. Then we choose the photos and finalize the text together.
All content is sent for your approval before publishing; nothing you haven’t approved appears on the site.
What should your site include?
Identity introduces you on a single page. Professional has 6–9 main content pages that give your services and your work their own space. Publishing adds a blog panel to these pages, where you can add and edit your own writing.
A standard domain, hosting and SSL are included for the first year. Identity comes with 1 email account, the other two options with 2. Search Console setup and the maintenance and support set out in your quote are included too. The domain is registered in your name; renewal fees and extra work are listed separately in the quote. Google Analytics setup is optional and considered separately.
Showing up in search.
I prepare page titles, links and content so search engines can read them. This structure can also help AI tools that search the web recognize you. There is no guarantee of a particular position on Google or of a place in AI recommendations.
My own site as an example.
You can see the kind of work I do on this site. I explain the decisions I made, from the loom to the thread, and what carries over to your site.
